Empties #19

Thursday, March 23, 2017

Ready for another empties post? I sure hope you are, cause I still have quite a few to go through. In this one, I'll be talking mainly about skincare but I also have some more body care products.

1. Nivea Nourishing body milk*: I have a big soft spot for Nivea products that have their traditional scent. Probably because we always used their products ever since I was a baby. So I would probably like this body milk even if it just smelled nice, but of course that wasn't all. It's also rich & nourishing, yet it sinks into the skin really quickly.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I actually already have another bottle that I got in a gift-set.

2. Dvorec Trebnik Vanilla massage oil*: This one doesn't sink into the skin as quickly, but it still feels amazing on the skin. Over the Summer I always tend to buy the Yves Rocher dry oil, but this past Summer, I've used this one instead and I loved it almost as much. I think it might have worked even better over the cold Winter months. Also, obsessed with the scent of it.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

3. Eucerin pH5 lotion*: This one is a very straightforward body lotion, that's simple yet very effective. If you have dry and sensitive skin, this one is definitely for you.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

4. Afrodita 100% Spa body butter with jojoba oil & shea butter*: Another one of my all-time favourites. Can't decide what's better about it - the scent, thick(er) formula or how it makes your skin soft like a baby's bottom.
Would I repurchase? Definitely!

5. Oriflame Milk & Honey nourishing hand & body cream*: Talked about it here. Worth buying without a doubt. Interesting consistency.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

6. Borotalco Invisible spray deodorant: I keep this in my handbag and it's one of the most effective deodorants out there. Another plus is that it doesn't leave any marks on your clothing.
Would I repurchase? Already did.

7. Rexona Active shield anti-perspirant: From one of the best deodorants, to one of the worst. I really like this version in the Maximum protect line, but this one didn't work for me at all and it stained all of my black shirts.
Would I repurchase? Never.

8. CD Deo roll-on waterlily*: This was okay, but I didn't really like the scent of it. Mentioned here.
Would I repurchase? Most likely not, cause I found a better one.

9. Dove Derma Spa Intensive hand cream: I was surprised at how effective this one was even though it has a thinner, lightweight consistency that instantly sinks into the skin. Great one for your handbag as well!
Would I repurchase? Yes.

10. Avon Care Cocoa butter hand, nail & cuticle cream*: This one is not handbag friendly since it has a very rich and thick consistency that takes a long time to sink into the skin. But it's amazing to use at night time, cause it will replenish and heal even the driest of hands.
Would I repurchase? Without a doubt.

11. Oriflame Milk & Honey moisturising hand cream*: You can see that I really wanted to use up every last bit of it and by now you already know that the Milk & Honey line gets a BIG thumbs up from me.
Would I repurchase? Obviously.

12. Aldo Vandini Charming balance hand & nail cream; The Body Shop Frosted plum hand cream; Avon Planet Spa Treasures of the desert restoring hand cream*: I decided to combine the three because they were all in my handbag and are handbag friendly, meaning that they're moisturising, but sink in quickly and don't leave any film on the skin. The Avon one was the thickest & the richest of the three.
Would I repurchase? Yes, all of them.

13. Mirati Face wash*: I loved this A LOT! It's a great face wash that feels super refreshing on the skin (I loved using it in the mornings especially). It has a gel consistency that cleans your skin nicely, yet it doesn't dry it out. It also didn't cause me any irritations on the skin which is always great. Another thing that I liked - it lasted me for a really long time, since I only needed a tiny bit.
Would I repurchase? Definitely.

14. The Body Shop Camomile silky cleansing oil: I ended up not really liking this at the end. It started to irritate my eyes, my skin had a lot of texture while I was using it and it also clogged my pores.
Would I repurchase? No.

15. Kozmetika Kahne Tonik hamamelis: I really liked this and now that I don't have it, I can see how big of a difference it made on my skin. This actually really managed to bring down the redness on my cheeks to bare minimum. I also noticed that it kept away the occasional dry patches I get on my chin.
Would I repurchase? Yes, as soon as I finish the product I'm currently using as my toner.

16. L'Occitane Pivoine Sublime 2 in 1 perfecting scrub: The story is completely opposite with this one...At first I really liked it, but the more I used it and now that I don't have it, I don't notice any difference on my skin as to the time I was using it regularly. Considering it's oil based, it's a good scrub for everyone that has dry skin, but as far as having any noticeable results, I can't say I've noticed any. I also didn't really like the fact that you're supposed to use it on dry skin as I always use scrubs while I'm in the shower washing my hair.
Would I repurchase? No, it's not worth the high price tag.

17. Balea Reinigungs öl (cleansing oil): I bought this because the majority of Slovenian bloggers were raving about it and because it supposedly got discontinued (I think it's back in the stores now). Unfortunately I wasn't that keen on it. Again, it clogged my pores, gave me tiny breakouts and every time I used it around my mouth, I woke up the next day with dry & cracked patches (and it took me forever to figure out this was causing them). I'm staying loyal to the N°7 cleansing oil.
Would I repurchase? No.

18. L'Oreal Skin Perfection Micellar gel: I completely forgot how much I liked this one. I've raved about it here.
Would I repurchase? Yes!

19. Soap & Glory Scrub your nose in it: In that post above, I also raved about this product. Now this is a scrub that actually gives you noticeable results! Great for all my oily girls / anyone that has troubles with blackheads or breakouts.
Would I repurchase? Without a doubt.

20. Le Couvent des Minimes The cream for sensitive skin*: As I said here, this cream is no miracle worker, but if you have sensitive skin and want something to keep it looking nice & moisturised, this is the right choice for you.
Would I repurchase? Yes, for the colder months.

21. Emma Hardie Amazing face Moringa cleansing balm: This is a product I definitely miss having in my skincare stash. It removes makeup effortlessly and leaves your looking like a million bucks. Not to mention that it feels like an amazing spa session in a pot.
Would I repurchase? I desperately need to.

22. 4 kids and us Dnevna pomlajevalna krema: I've been raving about this one before too, it's amazing! With frequent use it actually manages to diminish the look of any fine lines and wrinkles (I've noticed the biggest change on my neck lines). I find it to be too rich for me to use as a day cream (I have combination to oily skin), but I slather it on at night time like a maniac.
Would I repurchase? Already did and already almost finished that one too.

23. Estée Lauder Day Wear advanced multi-protection anti-oxidant creme: This one though - a dream to use under make-up / on a day to day basis. Sadly it was only a sample size (which still lasted for quite some time).
Would I repurchase? Maybe when I'll be in the mood to splurge on something.

24. Biobaza Deep White charcoal & liquorice extra strong toothpaste for whitening: Another Slovenian bloggers inspired purchase and I still can't decide on it completely. When I first tried it, I thought I was going to throw it away immediately, I hated the taste. But after a few days, I got used to it (but none of my other family members did thought). Now that I don't have it, I'm noticing that it gave you a feeling of freshly washed teeth throughout the entire day and I also noticed that I didn't get the usual morning breath. But I feel like I didn't actually notice any difference as far as whitening goes, which was the main reason why I bought it.
Would I repurchase? I don't know, I'm thinking about it cause I really liked it otherwise.

25. La Roche-Posay Hydreane Riche moisturizing cream for sensitive skin*: Another great cream for sensitive skin that's more on the drier end of things. But I think I liked the Le Couvent des Minimes one more.
Would I repurchase? Probably not.

26. L'Oreal Revitalift laser renew eye cream: Another product that I liked at first but didn't notice any difference with prolonged use. And I'm at the age when all I want are results, especially preventing/diminishing the fine lines. I do love the metal iron-looking applicator.
Would I repurchase? No.

27. Essence Pure Skin Anti-spot gel: I/we went through quite a few of these. It works really well and gets rid (or at least dries them) of breakouts over night / with a few uses (depending on how big the breakout is). My mum & my sister were also a fan of it, but I think it got discontinued as I can't find it in the drugstore anymore.
Would I repurchase? Yes, if I could.

28. Eucerin Lip Repair *: I love this lip balm, it works great and I love the squeeze tube. If I have extremely (like really really) chapped lips, this isn't enough, but other than that, it does work like a dream.
Would I repurchase? Yes, and I'm already currently using one thanks to Eucerin team.

29. Melvita Nectar Bright Serum illuminant brightening eye-contouring serum*: When I ran out of that L'Oreal cream, I decided to use up some of my samples (I still have a few left somewhere) and this was one of them. I really liked this one, it felt really nice on the skin and made my eye area look plumper.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I would purchase the full size.

30. Missha Pure Source Pomegranate cell sheet mask: My friend got me this and it was really nice. I love sheet masks in general, especially if they make my skin look nicer after. This one definitely did.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

31. Holika Holika Pig nose clear black head 3 step kit: I had high hopes for this, but it didn't deliver. Read more on it on my Facebook page post, here.
Would I repurchase? No.

32. Lancome Visionnaire Nuit beauty sleep perfector*: The name of this one couldn't be more on point; it's actually a beauty sleep perfector. It makes your skin look 10x times better over night and it has this really nice, lightweight texture.
Would I repurchase? Yes, someday.

33. Labello Med repair: This is another great lip balm out there. Helps with dry & chapped lips.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

34. Nuxe Reve de miel lip mousturising stick: Now if you follow my blog than you know I wasn't a fan of the cult classic Reve de miel in a pot, but this one is another story - I bloody LOVE it! It's much more convenient than the one in a pot and for me it also works better. It actually sinks into my lips and doesn't leave that gross layer. I found it to be as effective as the one in the pot with curing horribly chapped lips.
Would I repurchase? Definitely.

35. Missha Natural soft jelly cleansing puff (white clay): This was another gift from my friend and it was my first ''konjac'' sponge. Comparing it to the one that I have now (the Ebelin collagen one), it really did have a jelly texture. I really liked using it, especially in the mornings, but I took it away with me to the seaside & made the mistake of leaving it in the shower, so it got mouldy.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

Another massive empties post done, congratulations to anyone who made it through both of them. I was actually initially planning on including make-up products as well, but it would be too much for one post. I'll be saving those for my next empties post that hopefully won't take as long to publish.

Has anything caught your attention?

*The products marked with * were given to me by companies. I didn't buy them with my money. But that didn't and won't ever affect my opinion about the products in any way. The review is based on my personal experience with the product.*
