Empties #17

Monday, April 25, 2016

Hello,
you already know what time it is? Time to go through my beauty trash. And as always, grab a snack, because although I'll try to keep it short & sweet, we all know that I can't really do that.

This time I have a lot of shower related products and I actually threw away a few that I already talked about in the past. But let's get into it.

 1. Subrina Moroccan Treasure oil shower gel: This smells AMAZING and the scent actually lingers on the skin. I pretty much love anything that has an oriental scent and argan oil in it, so this was meant to be a winner. Not to mention that it actually does leave your skin very soft and moisturised.
Would I repurchase? Definitely.

2. Palmolive Naturals Ultra Moisturization with Olive and moisturising milk: now this one is also very moisturising, even more than the previous one, but I wasn't so keen on the scent.
Would I repurchase? Probably not.

3. Rexona Freshness & Care 2 in 1: I don't really remember anything about it, except that it had a nice creamy & fresh scent, so it probably wasn't anything that amazing. I do really like the packaging.
Would I repurchase? Maybe.

4. Afrodita Cosmetics Extra Sensitive intimate wash*: I pretty much love anything from Afrodita so I knew this isn't going to be an exception and I was right. The scent, again, wasn't my favourite, but luckily it's not very strong.
Would I repurchase? I already did, but the 3 Active version that is also meant for shaving and I do like it even better.

 5. Avon Naturals Body Care Sultry red rose & peach shower gel*: This was a nice shower gel, but I really disliked the scent of it. Rose & peach are two scents that I really don't like, and mixed together they really aren't a winning combination for me.
Would I repurchase? No.

6. Avon Planet Spa Sweet Sensuality with Jasmine essential oil bath elixir*: I used this as a shower gel since we don't have a bath yet, and I really liked it. It creates loads of foam, smells nice and leaves your skin very smooth and soft.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

7. Oriflame Bright Bouquet shower cream*: is another shower product that smells nice and leaves your skin moisturised. I also really liked the squeeze & bright tube. Definitely a great Spring time product.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

8. Oriflame Milk & Honey Gold moisturising shower cream*: is definitely a product for a pampering evening and it's exactly what the name would suggest. More about it here.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

9. CD Lokvanj tuš gel (Waterlily shower gel)*: I talked about this in my February Sparkles & Let-downs so I won't repeat myself.
Would I repurchase? Yes, but not this scent.

 10. Aussie Miracle Moist* & Repair Miracle shampoo*, Repair Miracle conditioner*: I did a whole post dedicated to Aussie, so I won't talk about them again. You can read it here.
Would I repurchase? Only the Repair Miracle shampoo.

11. Batiste Cherry dry shampoo: Scent wise, I think this is my favourite version of Batiste. It's a mixture of fruity, sweet & sour and it lingered in my hair, which is always nice. As far as the actual results go, Batiste always delivers for me.
Would I repurchase? Definitely.

12. Charles Worthington Volume & Bounce Texturising Spray: I literally heard angels singing when I finally could order this yesterday before the stock ran out again. I've been without it for a few weeks now and I hate how my hair looks. Can't wait to be reunited with it again, and this time I ordered two!
Would I repurchase? Always & forever.

 13. Fa Luxurious Moments Elegant Scent deodorant: I bought this purely for the scent. I don't find these to be great at keeping you sweat-proof and they leave stains on my clothes, but I do like to wear them when I'm at home as a perfume & deodorant in one.
Would I repurchase? Not for a long time.

14. Borotalco Invisible deo roll on: Apart from Rexona, this is my favourite ''hardcore'' deodorant. This keeps me dry no matter what and doesn't leave stains which is great. The scent also doesn't interfere with perfume since it's so light & creamy.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

15. Kedma Hand cream with dead sea minerals and plant extracts: I got this in a set as a gift and I really liked it. It was very moisturising, but definitely a night time hand cream.
Would I repurchase? Probably not, because I have too many hand creams.

16. The Body Shop Frosted Cranberry hand cream: The lovely Astrid sent me this last year and didn't want to use it up, cause I loved the scent so much. This was definitely a handbag hand cream for me, as it's not very thick, sinks in quickly without leaving any residue, but is still moisturising enough.
Would I repurchase? I think it was LE, so I can't even if I wanted to.

17. Afrodita Cosmetics Grapes hand cream*: This was another handbag friendly cream, but I really dislike the scent of it. It's so strong and always made me gag, so I wanted to use it up asap.
Would I repurchase? Definitely not!

 18. Afrodita Cosmetics Refresh! Young & Pure deep hydrating anti-imperfections refreshing toner: This is one of my favourite toners out there, it really makes a difference and I always come back to it.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

19. Biore Free your pores Deep pore charcoal cleanser: I'm actually gutted, cause I remembered that I forgot to order it on Boots earlier yesterday. But this is seriously an amazing cleanser that made a huge difference with my blackheads. They were way less prominent, the pores were a lot cleanser & tighter, and it also helped with reducing breakouts at that time of the month.
Would I repurchase? Definitely, with my next Boots order.

20. N°7 Beautiful Skin cleansing oil: Another amazing product that I started appreciating even more now that I'm without it. At first, I thought that I like The Body Shop one more, but I now know that I definitely prefer this one. It didn't blur my vision, it wasn't so oily, it smelled better and my skin looked great when I used it.
Would I repurchase? Yes, but I want to try out some other ones first.

21. Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish: I didn't like this and I listed all the reasons why here.
Would I repurchase? No.

22. Das Gesunde Plus Teebaumöl (tea tree oil): This is one of my favourite spot treatments and it also works great for calming down an itchy & flaky scalp.
Would I repurchase? Already did.

23. Balm Balm Frankincense deep cleansing balm: I thought this was beyond amazing before I tried the Emma Hardie cleansing balm. I do still think it's great, but I definitely get better results with the Emma Hardie one. I did a review a long time ago, here.
Would I repurchase? Maybe, but probably not.

24. Green Line HydroMineral light moisturising cream for mixed and oily skin*: is another product that I probably had for way too long, but I don't like throwing away products that still work, look & smell fine even after their expiry date. I liked this one a lot, it was a great base for make-up and I only needed a tiny bit. Here's a review.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

25. Montagne Jeunesse Tuchmaske mit Teebaumöl (Tea tree sheet mask): This one has a very strong minty/tea tree scent and it feels a bit tingly & very refreshing/cooling on the skin. I didn't notice any major changes, although my skin did feel tighter and looked brighter.
Would I repurchase? Maybe.

26. My Hoin Ni Hyaluronan & Blue-Green algae hydrating double lifting mask: My Hoin Ni are my favourite sheet masks that I've tried so far and I tend to always have at least one in my stash. They're very moist (this one especially), always give great results and all of them smell really nice. This one is very hydrating, it leaves your skin very soft, smooth and plump.
Would I repurchase? Definitely.

27. Ombia Cosmetics Wattepads Duo (cotton pads): I mentioned in one of my favourites, I think, how these ones really blew me away. I didn't expect them to be so compact and durable, but I did find ones that I like even more recently.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

28. No brand name eyelash/eyebrow comb: This is completely destroyed and I finally bought a new one.
Would I repurchase? No.

29. Garnier Miracle skin perfector BB cream combination to oily skin in Light/clair: I used to rave about it, I've repurchased it in the past, but I outgrew it. It doesn't sit well on my skin any more and it tends to oxidise which never happened before.
Would I repurchase? No.

30. MeMeMe Arch Angel shape & define in light brown*: I'm actually not throwing this away, cause the highlight side isn't empty yet, but I finally admitted to myself that the brow gel is long gone. This is without a doubt the best tinted eyebrow gel that I've tried so far - it fills in my brows perfectly and they stay in place no matter what. I do wish it came without a highlight as well, since I don't use that one very often. I did a review on it here.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

31. Maybelline Instant Anti-age effect concealer in 03 Fair: I was so happy when I finally used this up, cause no matter how hard I've tried, I never really liked it. Yes, it's very brightening, natural-looking and looks great on bare skin, but I get the same results with the Bourjois CC Eye Cream, except that one doesn't creases on me or make my mascara run.
Would I repurchase? Never.

32. Burt's Bees Replenishing lip balm with pomegranate oil: I really like this one, it kept my lips nice & moisturised and it gave them a hint of colour.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

33. Nuxe Reve De Miel lip balm: I have a very strong love-hate relationship with this one. It's way too expensive, it has the weirdest & thickest texture that I can't stand (and could only use it before going to bed), but it will heal even the most chapped lips over night.
Would I repurchase? Only if my lips were so horrible & chapped as they were when I first bought it.

34. Alverde Kompaktpuder in 010 Naturelle: This also isn't completely empty, but it shattered in my handbag, so I'm throwing it away. This is a nice setting powder for touching up, or for everyone with normal to dry skin.
Would I repurchase? Not really.

35. Yankee Candle Midsummer's night: This is one of the best smelling candles in my opinion (it smells like the hottest guy just came out of the shower), but I was disappointed by how poorly it burnt.
Would I repurchase? Yes, but in a smaller form or as a wax tart.

36. Yankee Candle Pain Au Raisin: You definitely can't burn this one when you're hungry or craving something sweet, because it smells like you've been baking something extremely delicious all day long, yet it's not sickly sweet.
Would I repurchase? Yes, but I think it might have been LE.

37. Yankee Candle Berry Truffle: Was another great scent, a bit sweet, a bit sour and quite strong.
Would I repurchase? Yes, but I again think it was LE.

38. Village Candle Celebration: This was a huge disappointment. It smelled so lovely when it was not burning, but when you actually started burning it, it smelled like a toilet spray.
Would I repurchase? Definitely not.

What products did you finish up recently?

*The products marked with * were given to me by companies. I didn't buy them with my money. But that didn't and won't ever affect my opinion about the products in any way. The review is based on my personal experience with the product.*

Haha, drugače pa verjetno jih je toliko, ker so vsi že dlje časa bili malo porabljeni, in se moram potem enkrat dejansko odločiti, da jih porabim do konca. Predvsem ličila :)
