The End Of Sparkling November, Secret Giveaway Winner & Plans For December

Tuesday, December 01, 2015

Hello ladies,
today is the first day of December which means quite a few things:
  • Sparkling November came to an end
  • It was my 3rd Blogoversary on the 27th
  • It's time to reveal the winner of the secret Sparkling November Giveaway
  • It's time to start opening all advent calendars
  • There's only 24 days until Christmas
  • And 2016 is just around the corner.

So let's break it down one by one.

Let's start with Sparkling November.
As I said here, I wanted to do something a bit different in the month of November since Sparkle with Laughter turned 3 at the end of the month. I was planning on posting every other day, and although I didn't stick to that completely, I'm still very proud that I managed to put up the most posts in a month this year. I'm also really happy that you seemed to enjoy all the giveaways and I'm hoping the winners are loving all the prizes as well.

Next up is my 3rd Blogoversary which happened on the 27th
I was planning on writing a whole post on that subject, about what I learned in 3 years of blogging, what I don't like about it, what my point of view on the whole blogging thing is, etc., but things didn't go as planned. I was working all weekend, and on the 27th I rather spent the afternoon/evening after work with my friends in Ljubljana, seeing Christmas lights than behind a computer.
I'm still planning on writing that post, since it's something that has been on my mind for a long time now, and I did write a few words on my Facebook Page about the blogoversary itself, but I still want to write something here.
You know, I never thought blogging would be something I'll actually stick to, and this is probably something I say every year, but it's true. What started just as a challenge for myself, turned into one of the biggest passions in my life. I love this little place of mine and I truly appreciate every comment, e-mail, opportunity, etc. that I get because of it.
It might not seem so (or maybe it does, I don't know), but I'm quite a private person when it comes to certain things and when it comes down to things (or people) that I truly love, I get very overprotective of them & I want to keep them in this safe, little bubble. I think this is one of the reasons why I didn't really talk much about this blog in my ''day to day life'' and why the only social media platform that I really used for it was Twitter. So that's why actually creating a Facebook page, starting to post more & more blogging related things & adding my blog to my Instagram profile was such a big deal for me.
It was safe & comfortable in this little bubble, hidden away from any possible negative comments from people that I know, but I realised recently that I don't really have anything to hide and that if I love something & I'm proud of it, I should flaunt it. And the truth is that I only got positive feedback since.
Well, I'm sure some might not like me, or this blog & might talk behind my back, and if you do, I hope I at least give you something to talk about :)
So my only wish for the upcoming year(s) is that I continue to enjoy blogging as much I did in these 3 years.

Secret Sparkling November Giveaway Winner.
When I decided to do a few giveaways, I instantly knew that I wanted to do a secret one as well, just as an additional thank you for always leaving lovely comments. At first I had quite a few ideas on how I wanted to do it, but when things changed, I decided to do it the easiest way possible - by counting your comments.
So every time one of you commented on my Sparkling November post (excluding the giveaway ones & including the introductory post that was on the 31st of October) I marked it in Excel.
After collecting all of them, I could see who is the person that commented the most on here this month, and it was Petra from Adjusting Beauty. So than you & you should have an e-mail already waiting for you.
But I won't be sharing what the actual prizes are since I want that to be a surprise as well & since I haven't buy all of them yet, cause I want a part of it to be a bit ''personal'' to the winner.

Speaking about my Facebook Page, I'm still not sure what I really want to do with it, except obviously promote the blog posts. I already decided to have a wishlist there (that will continue to grow) and to show you previews of different limited collections & sharing my picks from them.
But this year I also have my first beauty advent calendar and I couldn't be more excited about it, so I decided to ''open'' it daily on my Facebook Page. I'll share what product is hidden behind the door every day, including potential swatches and first impressions. So if you're interested in seeing what's hidden in the Alessandro Christmas Calendar, you should definitely give it a like here.
Also, if you have any other ideas what you would like to see there, please let me know.

The 24 days until Christmas is kinda pointless, but I love Christmas, so I just had to include it. Also, my mum won't let me put up our Christmas tree yet, so if you could send her some threatening letters or e-mails, that would be great ;)

Plans for December & 2016.
I would say that 2015 was a weird year for me, in many aspects of my life, including blogging. I had a lot of free time the first half of the year yet I still didn't post regularly / as much as I would want. I kinda lost my blogging mojo and now that I have it back, I don't have the time for it.
So as far as plans for December and 2016 in general go, I plan on posting as much I can, but not really committing to any schedule. I'll still try to post on Tuesdays, Fridays & Sundays as I used to, because I like it that way, but I'll try to not feel bad, if I only manage to get up one post a week.
I'm also drowning in writing reviews for the products that were sent/given to me, so I'll probably make those a priority for a bit. I'm also planning on doing my annual Best Buys Of The Year, but I'm still not sure if they'll go up this month or in January.
Another things that I'm planning on doing is a December in a photo or something like that - just taking a photo (or more) every day, and sharing them at the begging of January. I have high hopes for December, so I'm hoping I'll have some good snaps to share with all of you.

I think this is all that I wanted to share with you for today. Once again, thank you for all of your comments, likes, shares, follows, etc in these three years. You're the best!

  1. Zdaj si me pa čisto presenetila. Kako lepo, jej :D.

  2. Lovely post :)
