Why Cleansing Oils Are One Of The Best Things In Life

Monday, November 16, 2015

Hello ladies,
I think that one of the reasons why I love make-up so much is because I love taking it off even more. And although I absolutely love cleansing balms, there's just something about cleansing oils that makes my heart sing and makes me way too excited to use them.
So today I'll share my 10 reasons for why cleansing oils are one of the best things in life and why you should go out and buy one immediately, if you don't own one yet.

  • Taking off your make-up always feels like a luxury spa experience and the best part about it is that it's free. Coming home after a long day and with a full face of make-up, knowing that you can finally take it off, is something I always look forward to. Words cannot express the feeling of putting that warm face cloth on your face, it's heavenly and it instantly makes me forget all of my troubles.
  • You get a relaxing face massage ''every day''. The fact that you have to work in the cleansing oil in order to break down the make-up means that you're giving yourself a face massage every time you do that, and I personally find that one of the most relaxing things ever.
  • Cleansing oils can dissolve a wall of make-up if necessary & in no time. Speaking about breaking down the make-up, you could put up who knows how many layers of make-up and cleansing oil would be able to take it off break it down before you knew it.
  • Continuing on that note, for me this is the quickest way to remove my make-up.
  • They're a great value for money. There are some affordable cleansing oils out there and there are also some very expensive ones, but to me this is a product I wouldn't mind splurging on because you only need a small amount of product which means they'll last for a very long time. I only use a pump to two pumps around three/four times a week and I've been using the N °7 one for the past year and it's still going strong.
  • Cleansing oils are great for every skin type. People with dry skin will absolutely love them, but so will people with oily skin, and some say that cleansing oils can even help get rid of acne. I have to say that I never had any major problems with my skin, but it never looked just as good as it does since I started using cleansing balms & especially oils on a regular basis. They make my skin extremely soft, smooth, nourished, plump, supple and moisturised.
  • They don't irritate my extremely sensitive eyes. I can't say this about all of them, but the two that I've tried so far (the N °7 one & The Body Shop one) are very gentle on my eyes and don't irritate them in the slightest. Yes, they can make your vision a bit blurry, but not for a long time.
  • Cleansing oil usually contain some great skincare ingredients. Anything from vitamin E, rosehip oil, avocado oil, almond oil, etc.
  • You don't need to use another cleanser to double cleanse. If you're feeling lazy or tired, there's no need to use another cleanser to double cleanse when it comes to cleansing oils. Since you use a muslin or face cloth to remove everything, that cloth also serves as a gentle exfoliator, so you can kill two birds with one stone. Whenever I'm feeling really tired, I use one pump to remove my make-up, wash it off with a warm face cloth, then I repeat the process to really get everything off. Also, if you don't have extremely dry skin and you're feeling really lazy, you can also skip on moisturiser for that night, since your skin will be moisturised enough from the cleansing oil.
  • And last, but certainly not least: While you're removing your make-up, cleansing oils turn you into a panda. I mean, who wouldn't want to be a panda for a few minutes or have a bit of fun while removing make-up?

  • As I said I currently own two cleansing oils: N °7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Oil and The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil. After owning and using both for quite some time, I definitely prefer the N °7 one, but I'm planning on trying out a few more after I finish it. The first one on my wish list is the L'Occitane Shea Butter Cleansing Oil.

What are your thoughts on cleansing oils? What's your favourite one?

    3. Dobro spisano :). :)

    4. Najboljši! Jaz ravno obratno, meni ta olja in masla za čiščenje kar letijo iz omarice. Skoraj prehitro porabim ampak so vredni vsakega centa :)
