June Sparkles

Hello ladies,
how are we all dealing with this current heat weave? Hopefully you're keeping yourself cool somewhere next to a pool or with a cold drink in your hand.
Now let's have a chat about my June beauty favourites.

I also just want to add that my blogging schedule might me a bit off this month. You might have noticed that I didn't post anything last week and that's because my schedule is currently a bit all over the place and I'm still trying to get it more organised again. But hopefully I'll be able to keep up with my regular posting 3x times a week.

Let's start with the product I forgot to include in my random favourites although it technically is a beauty product; Palmolive Magic Softness foaming handwash. Is it weird to have a favourite hand wash? Because I think I found mine. Not only this turns into a foam when you pump it out (which excites me greatly as I'm actually 5 years old), but it also smells amazing; like coconut & raspberries, pretty much a perfect Summer combination.
The next favourite is the Essie Perennial Chic nail polish, which is a part of their Spring 2015 collection, so grab it if you still can. This is a stunning peachy nude shade that looks amazing on the nails. I'm usually all about bright shades in the Summer, but this year I just can't stay away from nude shades and this one is definitely one of those that I want to wear all the time.
I'm usually not a big fan of the celebrities perfumes, but I got this Beyonce Heat perfume for my birthday and I love it. I like the design of the bottle, the ombre effect and the scent itself. As I suck at describing scents, here are informations from Fragnatica. I can't say just how long-lasting it really is, as pretty much all perfumes last forever on me, and so does this one.

I got the Olay/Olaz Regenerist 3 Point Super Cleansing System back in December and it has been my staple since mid-January. I haven't talked about it yet because I really wanted to test it for a longer period of time, but now I can say that I like it a lot. Although my skin has never been problematic, I've noticed a change in the way it looks and feels since using this. Especially with my blackheads. I'm thinking of doing a full review on it sometime in the next couple of weeks, so let me know if you would like to see that.
Another product that I've been using for a few months is the L'Oreal Revitalift Laser Renew Precision eye cream. This promises to replump wrinkles, reduce eye bags and firm skin. It also says to use day and night, but I've been mainly using it only at night and occasionally, if my eye area feels dry or dull, at daytime. But since the consistency of it is very lightweight and gel-like, it can definitely be used under make-up as well.
One thing that I loved from the start is the metal applicator that feels extremely cooling under the eyes. Which is an amazing feeling, especially now that it is so hot outside. But with time I also noticed that my under eye circles aren't looking just as dark as they used to, and my under eye area definitely appears to be firmer and plumper.

Next up are two make-up products that have been used and abused this month.
First up is the Catrice Absolute Nude eyeshadow palette in 010 All Nude that looks a bit worse for wear. This was actually a part of a present for a friend, but I've dropped it so I saved it for myself and got her a new one. That happened back in December and I've only started using this palette last month, but now I can finally see what the hype is all about.
This palette is very affordable, but the quality of the shadows is great. They're all nicely pigmented, smooth, easy to build up & blend and long-wearing. Plus the packaging is very compact so it's great for travelling as well.
In the swatches bellow I marked my favourite shades, so that you can see which one I've been mostly wearing in June.
I loved pairing this palette with the MeMeMe Dew Pots in Willow Whisper which is an absolutely gorgeous cream eyeshadow, but it does need a bit of powder eyeshadow on top to stay in its place all day long. You can read a full review on it here.

Last two make-up favourites are both for the cheeks.
I mentioned in this haul how I wasn't the biggest fan of the formula of M.A.C. Satin powder blush in Fleur Power, but I grew to love it. I don't know if I just had to go through the first layer or what, because now I don't have any problems with blending it or it being powdery. As I said there, the shade is perfect for this time of the year and it just brightens up your whole face and looks great with every make-up.
I've also became a huge fan of bronzing, especially now that the L'Occitane Pivoine Sublime Skin Perfecting CC Cream is starting to look a bit too light for me and my go-to bronzer has been The Body Shop Honey Bronze bronzing powder in 01 Light Matte. This is the most natural looking bronzer that I've ever used and even if you applied it with closed eyes, it wouldn't look awful. It's just a dream to apply and it lasts all day.
I thought it deserved another mention before I switch it up for something a bit darker, as this too is starting to look a bit too light for me.

Last but not least, the Pro Fibre Cosmetics Brush from Ebay. This has been my go-to brush for applying bronzer, but it also works great with setting powders and blushes. It was a complete bargain and it looks and feels almost exactly like the Real Techniques Blush brush (the one with the pink handle).
I would definitely encourage you to buy it and I have to thank Petra for mentioning it.

And here are the swatches.
On the left side you can see how Essie Perennial Chic looks on my nails and on the nail wheel (number 4).
& on the right side from top to bottom, left to right we have Willow Whisper, Fleur Power, Honey Bronzer, L'Oreal eye cream, Catrice eyeshadow palette and Palmolive hand wash.

What was your favourite product in June?
