May Sparkles

Hello ladies,
my favourite month has ended and it's time for another round up of my favourite products.
I know we tend to say this a lot, but I seriously can't believe it's already June. This year truly is flowing by extremely quickly and I for sure, don't like that. But I am really excited for the warmer weather, hopefully with lots of sunny days.

May Favourites
After last month's minimal favourites, I have a decent amount of them this time. So let's just jump into it cause I have a feeling this post is going to be a long & chatty one.

N°7 cleansing oil, Melvita Argan oil, Balea,
First up I have three different favourite oils for three different purposes.
I slightly mentioned the N°7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Oil in my 2014 Best Beauty Buys but since then this has been my main make-up remover, so I thought it deserved another mention. I honestly can't believe I haven't even used a half of it in this time, and this is one of the reasons why I love it so much. I only need around two pumps (depending on how much make-up I'm wearing) of it to remove all the make-up from my face, and it removes EVERYTHING with a ridiculously ease. When it gets in touch with water, it turns into a milky consistency, and it leaves my skin look supple, moisturised and soft. It doesn't irritate my eyes which is another bonus, although it does leaves you with a bit of a blurry vision, but not for long. It also didn't break me out or cause any other irritations.
Compared to The Body Shop Camomile Silk Cleansing Oil this one has better packaging, is a bit more greasy and doesn't smell as good.
I actually think that cleansing oils are my favourite products for removing my make-up, because they're so quick & easy to use and I need such a small amount, although I haven't yet found one that would make my skin look just as good as the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm does.
Another oil that really grew on me is the Melvita Argan oil. I bought this in December (I think) and I was drawn to the big bottle (50 ml), a gift with purchase (their Damask Rose floral water, 28ml, haven't tried it yet), the good price for the amount you get (on their site it retails for 19,80€) and the brand itself.
I've been using this every night for around 3 months now and I still have around half of it left. Since it's so multi-purpose (you can use it on your face, body and hair), I don't really use it very sparingly; I usually use a pump and half all over my face, neck, décolletage and I tend to rub what's left on my cuticles. I also used to use it on my hair before I repurchased the Orofluido Beauty Elixir oil.
I love the subtle scent that it has, it sinks into my skin semi-quickly and it's quite lightweight. The thing that I'm not crazy about, is the glass bottle and the pump. I think I would like it even more if the packaging was plastic and came with a pipette.
Ever since I started using oils on my skin, I noticed a lot of great benefits from them; my skin is a lot less oily, it's softer and smoother, it looks less dull and has a healthy glow. I especially noticed this when I wasn't using anything on my skin after my LASIK.
The last oil was Aida's inspired purchase. She mentioned this Balea Rasieröl (shaving oil) on her Facebook page and I decided to try it as well. And I love it. I first thought that I would use it up really quickly, but I noticed that I really don't need a lot of it, I get a really close shave without any ingrown hair and my skin feels very smooth, soft and moisturised after. It's also really affordable, has a compact packaging and a pleasant scent.

L'Occitane CC, Maybelline Lash Sensational, NARS concealer, MeMeMe Arch Angel

And now onto the make-up favourites.
I think we all knew I'll be including the L'Occitane Pivoine Sublime CC Cream in Clair - light after I raved about it here. This has been my go-to base ever since I got it and I haven't used any other ''foundation'' style products nor do I really see myself using them for awhile. It just give my skin exactly what I need; a hint of colour, an evened out & perfected skin tone while looking completely natural.
A lot of bloggers have recently been talking about either the Benefit Roller Lash or about Maybelline Lash Sensational lash multiplying mascara that's supposedly a dupe of it. I can't really tell you if that's true or not, but I can tell you that I absolutely love this mascara and I think it might even just be better than my beloved The Rocket.
I've read a few reviews where ladies claim that this mascara gives them a lot of volume and not so much length, but for me is just the opposite (maybe it's because my lashes are naturally quite full). This gives my lashes a lot of length, which I absolutely love, but it's also great at separating & defining them. It has plastic wand that is curved and quite short, but it really gets to the roots of your lashes and lifts them up. My lashes are naturally curled, so I only use an eyelash curler every now & again, but ever since I started using this mascara, I haven't even touched it cause I don't feel like I need it any more. It definitely curls them a bit and it holds the curl all day long, it's really black and it doesn't flake or smudge. It's actually very difficult to remove (even Bioderma struggles a bit), so I prefer using the cleansing oil to remove it.
Another reason why I love it so much, is also the fact that now I tend to get asked what lashes I'm wearing a lot. First my friend asked me if I got lash extensions, then my dad asked me why the hell am I wearing false lashes, a random girl stopped me at the drugstore just the other day to ask me if I was wearing mascara or something else,... And to be honest, I didn't really think I would end up liking it as much as I do.
I talked about the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer a few times already, but man is this thing good. I tend to use it a bit sparingly, since it is expensive, but this month I remembered just how much I love it and been slapping it on like there's no tomorrow. It gives me the best coverage, hides my under eyes perfectly, it also works on spots, isn't drying or cakey looking and I have no problems with creasing. I have the shade Light 2 Vanilla which is a great match for my skin, but since this officially is my favourite concealer of all time, I'm actually thinking of getting the lightest shade for when I want my under eyes to be very bright & highlighted. I just can't decide if I want to try out the new Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer first.
Another product that I've been using almost daily for more than a month is the MeMeMe Arch Angel in light brown. I was planning on having a full review on this product up by now, but since I'm so behind on everything, I still haven't managed to finish it. I won't talk much about it today, cause the review should be up this week, but I'll tell you that I absolutely love it. And not just the define side of it.

KIKO Water Eyeshadow, Max Factor Creme Puff, Catrice Brush
And lastly a few more make-up favourites.
I'm kinda cheating with the first one as I only wore it once this month, but I fell in love with it completely, so I had to mention it. I'm talking about the KIKO Water eyeshadow in 200 Champagne. I promised you a review on these back in October and I still haven't got around of actually writing it, so let me know if you would still like to see that.
It was my birthday on Thursday so I decided that I want to wear as much glitter on my eyes as I possibly can, and this was the perfect option for it. You can use these shadows wet or dry, so I decided to spray a bit of Fix+ on my brush and use it wet. And it was definitely the right decision as I have never had so sparkly, glittery and metallic eyes before. I already know this will be my go-to eyeshadow for going out and such.
Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in 15 Seductive Pink on the other hand, got a ton of love this month. I think I only used a different blush on two other occasions, otherwise this was the only one I was wearing. Although I only had this for around a month, I can already tell you that this is one of my favourite blushes in my collection.
The packaging is compact & cute and the blush itself is very soft, smooth, easy to build up and blend. And the shade is a gorgeous, nude dusty pink, that's perfect for every day. It doesn't have any chunky glitter or shimmer, but it gives your skin the most beautiful sheen / glow from within. It looks like you just got a massive compliment from your biggest crush, and you're naturally blushing & glowing. Simply gorgeous. It also lasts all day on me (8+ hours), although it does fade a bit throughout the day.
I don't really know what else to tell you, I'm madly obsessed with it and 4 shades finally reached Slovenia, so I definitely think I'll be picking up another shade of them. I think some Slovenian bloggers mentioned they retail for around 12€ if you're interested.
Last but not least, is Catrice Blush Brush (I think that is what it's called, as I bought it a few years ago, it could also be their Powder brush). For the longest time, I've been using the enormous Ecotools Domed Bronzer Brush to set my powder, but for some reason I switched to this one in May. It's a lot smaller, a bit rounded and tapered so it's really easy to get around your nose, mouth and under your eyes with it. It's also soft and it has held up really nicely so far.

Here are the swatches of the products, and below is a selfie that I posted on Instagram on my birthday.
I decided to include it since I'm wearing all of my make-up favourites that I've mentioned today, and you can get a glimpse at how everything looks on me. I do have to add that this was taken with my phone and that I adjusted the brightness and contrast, so the shades are a bit off, but not that much.

Hopefully you enjoyed reading my monthly favourites and let me know if you decide to get anything.

Would love to know if you tried any of these and if you want any detailed reviews?
