today I'm back with another instalment of Beauty Buys Of The Month.
If you're following me on Instagram then you've probably already seen the majority of these goodies, but by now I did try out a lot of them, so I can also share a few first impressions with you.
Although I'm kinda trying to resist buying new make-up, as my hoarding tendencies are getting a bit out of control, I still can't resist some good deals and opportunities.
As I was editing the photos, I also noticed that I forgot to include the L'Occitane goodies, but you can see everything that I got & read my first impressions on them here.
I didn't really need new skin-care products, but I couldn't resist picking up a few things with a 50% off coupons that I had.
Since I'm running really low on my current toner, I decided to try out the Krasna Osvežilni tonik sivka in čajevec (Krasna Refreshing toner with lavender and tea-tree). I haven't tried it yet, but I do really like the packaging and kinda hate the scent of it.
Another product that I haven't tried yet, is the Burt's Bees Peach & willow bark deep pore scrub. This one, on the other hand, smells amazing and I have really high hopes for it.
But I did try the Natura Siberica Snow cladonia face serum. I bought this because it claims to have some amazing anti-ageing benefits and let's face it, I'm not getting any younger. But I think this broke me out and even darkened the area around my mouth. Since I'm not a 100% this was the reason for that (since it was that time of the month & my hormones usually go wild), I'll give it another chance and write a review on it, since it does promises a lot.
I also got a back-up of my favourite lip balm, the Le Petit Olivier Lip balm stick with Argan oil.
A few months ago I tried the Dove shower gel for the first time and I really liked it, so this time I decided to get their Purely pampering caring cream bath Shea butter with warm vanilla since it's smells heavenly.
Rexona Maxium protection Clean scent is another repurchase & probably my all time favourite. I just haven't found an antiperspirant that would work as good as this one does.
Everyone has been going crazy about those sponge nail polish removers and I tried the Bourjois one a long time ago but was really disappointed by it, since it dried out my cuticles like crazy and I had to throw it away the minute I tried removing glitter polish with it. I have been wanting to purchase the Ebelin one for awhile, but I always forget it. One time this month I was just casually browsing Hofer and I saw this Ombia Cosmetics Dip & Twist express nagellackentferner and I remembered that Gejba talked about it, so I decided to get it. I've used it twice so far, and I really like it. It removes the nail polish without drying out my cuticle, smells amazing and the sponge is still going strong.
I also got this Ebelin polka-dotted nail file because I needed a new one and this one looked really cute. Unfortunately it's mainly good-looking, and not very effective.
I mentioned in a post about my LASIK eye surgery that I did a bit of shopping in Zagreb after my one month check-up and I'm quite proud of myself that I didn't go completely crazy.
I got a bottle of Batiste Blush version, cause I haven't ordered it from Asos for quite some time now and I missed having it in my life. I do really like the Schauma one, but when it comes down to it, nothing compares to Batiste from my experiences. I did hear that we finally got a few versions of it in Műller.
I also FINALLY got my hands on what seem to be the IT blushes at the moment; the Max Factor Creme Puff blush. I was swatching the available shades and decided to only get the shade 15 Seductive pink and this decision haunts me in my sleep to this day. These really deserve all the rave they're currently getting and I'll definitely be buying more shades. I'll tell you more about it in my favourites, but if you see it somewhere, buy it immediately. NEWS! I just saw on the Müller Slo Facebook page that they we 4 different shades now in Slovenia. Can I get a hallelujah?
They also had the new shades of the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet's and I picked up the 10 Don't pink of it! All I will say is - perfection.
Then me & my friend went to M.A.C. and it was great. This was the first M.A.C. store where the assistant lady wasn't breathing down my neck, and I love that. I decided to finally try the famous Fix+ and so far, I really like it as I've noticed it really does help my make-up last longer. I would love to know what's your favourite way to use it cause I know Youtuber ''gurus'' use it for many different reasons.
I also knew I wanted to get one blush and one or two lipsticks. After swatching the majority of their blushes, I couldn't decide between two; Dessert Rose and Fleur Power. I decided to go with Fleur Power, but I know that at some point I'll be getting the other one as well.
Fleur Power is the perfect shade for this time of the year; a lovely pinky-coral. It's a satin finish and I have to say, I'm not the biggest fan of it (I also have a pro-longwear & a sheertone one, and I kinda prefer both of those finishes). It's a bit powdery & not the softest on the touch, and it's also not the easiest to blend. But it's a great shade that's really pigmented and long-lasting.
After some more swatching (a lot more actually), I picked up the two lipsticks that I liked the most; Syrup (lustre finish) and Faux (satin finish). I won't talk much about them, because I've been loving a lot of lip products lately and I'm planning on doing a currently obsessing post on them (spoiler; all three of lip products from this haul are going to be featured there), but I'll say that Syrup completely blew me away and that Faux is quite similar to Brave and that P2 Kärtnerstrasse is a dupe for it. But I still don't regret buying it even a little bit.
And lastly a few products that I was sent.
I signed up to get the Melvita Nectar bright samples because I've been wanting to try out some more of their products since I really like their Argan oil, but I have too many skin-care products at the moment.
From Ličila.si I got the Makeup Revolution / I ♥ Makeup Naked Chocolate palette that's absolutely stunning and I cannot wait to play around with it more.
Lastly, I also got a travel size of the Nivea Sun SPF 50+ sun cream. The Nivea team always know how to surprise you, as they tend to sent their things completely unexpectedly and this time they also included their inflatable beach ball which truly made my day (I once again, stupidly forgot to include it on the photo). They also sent a link to this great video that shows how damaging are the UV rays on our skin.
Last but not least, the swatches; Max Factor blush (it doesn't look like much, but trust me when I say it's absolutely stunning), M.A.C. blush, M.A.C. Faux & Syrup and Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet.
Have you tried any of these products? Would you like to see any reviews?
