I'm switching things up a bit for my April favourites. I didn't wear any make-up for almost the entire month due to my Lasik eye surgery so I only had a few beauty favourites, and I decided to combine them with the random ones.
I also wanted to just add (for those of you who are interested) that a post about my Lasik eye surgery is going to be up next Sunday, since I wanted to wait for my one month post Lasik check-up before I post it.
Now let's have a quick look through my April favourites.
First up I have two favourites for my hair; a new one and an old one.
Since I love Dove conditioner so much, I decided to try their new Advanced Hair Series Pure Pflege Schwereloses Öl (Pure Care Dry Oil conditioner) and I have to say that this is my favourite one that I've tried so far. The consistency is semi-thick, but it turns into a more oily one when you rub it in between your hands. It has an amazing, perfume-y scent that actually lingers on my hair. I love how smooth, soft and nourished it makes my hair feel.
I couldn't be happier to finally have the Orofluido Beauty Elixir back in my life. I've been using it for the past month and my ends are finally looking healthy & not dry again.
Since I couldn't wash my eyes for the first week post Lasik eye surgery and since you need to be really gentle around the eye area, I figured out that the easiest way to do this was by using face cloths to wash my face. My favourite one is definitely the Emma Hardie Professional Dual-Action Cleansing Cloth. It has two sides; one with the muslin fabric and the other with microfibres. I like to use the microfibre side for my eyes and the muslin side for the rest of my face. I'm actually thinking of ordering a pack of them, so I have more than one.
And the last beauty favourite is the Balea Nuss bodybutter. I first saw this one on Sara's blog and when I read that this supposedly smells like Monte dessert, I knew I had to have it. Well it actually does smell exactly like that and I'm tempted to eat it every time I open it. It's extremely thick, but it keeps my skin crazily moisturised. And on top everything, it's also very affordable.
And now onto the random favourites.
I bought this random Silicone glove from Ebay quite some time ago, to use for washing my make-up brushes. I was kinda sceptical about it at first, but this really cuts down the washing time and I also feel like it washes the brushes more efficiently. Not to mention that it's purple and has tiny hearts all over it.
Sunglasses are your best friend after Lasik and recently I've been rocking these A. J. Morgan Bodacious Sunglasses that I bought last year on Asos. They are very oversized which I like and I wear them although I'm not sure if I can pull them off. Another best friend after Lasik was my old & trusty iPod nano (2. generation). I think this one is around 8 years old (I could be completely wrong cause I don't remember when I got it) and it's still going strong. Since I've been avoiding screens and all that, I've been listening to music a lot. I'm currently obsessed with the majority of songs from James Bay album called Chaos and the Calm. You should really check it out, especially Scars, Incomplete and Need the sun to break.
My Lasik eye surgery is obviously another favourite. It's really strange to be able to see so clear without contact lenses or glasses, I'm still not completely used to it.
Another thing that is quite new to me, is Yoga. Before I had Lasik, I've been doing the 30 days of Yoga with Adriene and I got completely hooked on it. I haven't been doing it now, but I actually miss it and I can't wait to get back to it.
The saddest favourite; Hart of Dixie series finale. I absolutely loved the episode, but I absolutely despise the fact that it's over. I need my weekly dose of Wade Kinsella goddamit!
I also have one food favourite and a bunch of blog post favourites. On Thursday I made these 3 ingredients bounty bars and luckily for me, no one in my family likes the taste of them. I, on the contrary, could eat them all day, every day.
And lastly, blog posts; Taya has been on fire with her posts recently, I absolutely loved her Blush collection post, How I photograph my makeup looks post, and Review and swatches; Essence The gel nail polish. I also really liked Spring Beauty by Mateja and Beginner's guide to Korean cosmetics by Sara. And this from Thought Catalog that I can easily relate to.
What have you been loving in April?
