Empties 12

Tuesday, March 31, 2015

Hello ladies,
another two months have past since I've done my last empties post. I again managed to use up quite a lot of products, so let's go through my trash and see what I think about them.

Empties
Since I've used up quite a lot of products this time, I decided to split them into two parts. Another empties post will be up next week with my makeup empties and the products that I just couldn't use up.

You know how I was on a mission to use up my stash of shower gels? Well, I finally managed to do it and now my stash is completely empty. These two shower gels were the last one standing, and since they aren't from limited collections I decided to include them into this post.
1. Dove Deeply Nourishing shower gel: Man, I've been sleeping on Dove shower gels, weren't I? This stuff was amazing; extremely creamy, nourishing, moisturising and with a lovely scent.
Would I repurchase? Definitely.

2. Nivea Supreme Touch cream oil shower: This was also quite moisturising and nourishing, but not as much as the previous one. I wasn't too keen on the white magnolia scent.
Would I repurchase? Yes, but not in this scent.

3. Yves Rocher Collection Cacao Cocoa&Pistachio nut hand cream: Nice and lightweight hand cream that did the job and absorbed quickly.
Would I repurchase? It was from a limited collection.

4. Dove Maxium Protection anti-perspirant Original scent: An amazing anti-perspirant that does its job perfectly.
Would I repurchase? Yes, but I prefer the Rexona version since it's even more affective.

5. Colgate Max White One toothpaste: I don't include toothpaste in my empties, cause we usually just use the Aquafresh ones that do their job, but aren't anything special. Well this one actually did made my teeth look whiter after a week or so. I currently have a coupon for 50% off (DM 150 points) and I'll definitely be stocking up.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

6. The Body Shop Chocomania body butter: This was my first TBS body butter and I really liked it. I wasn't expecting it to be this thick, but I loved how it made my skin feel extremely moisturised and nourished. But I did notice that I really had to work it into my skin, and I went through this pot quite quickly, probably due to the fact that there's only 50ml of product in it.
Would I repurchase? I already have three different small ones, but I wouldn't repurchase a full size of this exact scent.

7. COLAB London dry shampoo: I was really happy that I finally used this up. I talked about it in my Products I want to use up, unfortunately it just didn't do anything for my hair.
Would I repurchase? No.

8. Argan Oil Conditioner with moroccan argan oil extract: I saw this in Tuš Drogerija and was kinda attracted to the packaging. As conditioner, it was average; it had lightweight texture, smelt nice and made my hair feel soft, but not very nourished or moisturised. Now that I'm using another conditioner, I also noticed that it left my hair looking a bit frizzy. Since it was so light and kinda runny, we also used it up really quickly.
Would I repurchase? Not really.

9. Schwarzkopf Schauma Cotton Fresh dry-shampoo: This is so far the only drugstore dry shampoo that works for my hair without making my scalp itchy and giving me dandruff. I haven't ordered from Asos in a really long time, so this is my substitute for Batiste and it does its job great.
Would I repurchase? Already did.

10. Avon Naturals Hair Care Colour Moisture treatment mask: I definitely wouldn't say that this is a mask, cause it also has a very lightweight consistency. It's, again, not overly nourishing or moisturising and I haven't noticed any 'colour benefits', but I think it works better than the Argan Oil one. It has pomegranate extract and camellia seed oil, and it smells amazing.
Would I repurchase? Probably not.

11. Afrodita Clean Phase tonic for normal to oily skin: I love this one, it works great for my and my sister skin. Keeps the blemishes at bay, helps to control excess oils without drying out my skin and removes any makeup that might still be hanging around on my face.
Would I repurchase? I already had a new one in my stash.

12. Afrodita Clean Phase Cream peeling: Another Afrodita product that I absolutely love. It has very tiny micro granules so it's quite harsh and I only use it once or twice a week.
Would I repurchase? Already have.

13. Vichy Idealia Eyes eye contour idealizer: Although I've been using this every night, it has lasted me for a really long time. I have to say it also worked great for me, after using it for a few months, I've noticed that my dark circles actually got a bit brighter, which is what I'm looking for. I wasn't too crazy about the applicator, but that's my only complain.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

14. Ole Henriksen Pure truth youth activating oil: This stuff is amazeballs and I was so sad when I ran out of it. I got it in a Look Fantastic beauty box and this little bottle (15ml) lasted me for good 2 months with every day use. I really noticed a change in my skin when I was using this; it helped to heal my burn from the curling wand, it made my skin look much brighter & plumper and my makeup was applying & looking much better on my face.
Would I repurchase? I'm currently using another face oil, and I have a few other ones that I would like to try out first, but if none of them will impress me as much, I'll definitely be splurging out on this one.

15. Afrodita Mandelj Multiactive nourishing cream: I really loved this face cream as well, and I've used quite a few pots of it. It's semi thick, very moisturising and nourishing. Since I have combination/oily skin this is way too heavy for me to use at daytime, but as I night moisturiser it works great.
Would I repurchase? Definitely.

16. Balea Q10 Anti-Falten Augen pads: This was my first time trying eye pads and I quite liked it. They have a sticky, gel-like side that you apply under your eyes and leave them on for 20 minutes. They come in a pack of 6 and are supposed to help with your wrinkles. While they don't make them vanish, I did notice that my under eye area looked plumper and brighter. The effect didn't last for longer than a day, but I think this is a nice step to do when you want to go all out, or when you under eye area is looking dull and puffy.
Would I repurchase? I still have 5 packs left.

What have you used up recently?
