Sunday's Chit-Chat: Random Favourites vol. 4

Sunday, December 14, 2014

Hello ladies,
today I'm greeting you from the comforts of my bed as I'm feeling really poorly. Hopefully you're feeling much better.

I can't believe this is already the end of the second week of Blogmas and that there are only 11 days 'till Christmas!
For today's Sunday's chit-chat I decided to show you some current random favourites as I haven't done a post like this in awhile and I miss writing them.
I'm thinking of making them a monthly thing in 2015, I hope you'll like that.

The first thing that I've been completely obsessed with and can't stop buying, is tea. I never thought I'll turn into this massive tea lover as I used to absolutely hate drinking it. Now I can't get enough of it and I'll slowly need a whole cupboard for  all my different teas.
Current favourites are; Pukka Three Ginger, Twinings Lemon & Ginger, Mr. Perkins Brat Apfel, Yogi Tea Bedtime and PG tips.
I've been drinking the ginger ones as I read that they help with coughing and boosting the immune system, and I also actually really like the taste of them.
The Brat Apfel one is from Hofer and is my favourite ''Christmas'' tea, the Yogi Tea Bedtime really helps you to unwind and relax at the evenings, it calms you down and really helps you to fall asleep faster.
And the PG tips are my almost everyday morning tea choice. And yes, I brought this huge box with me from London, it was a struggle to fit it into my suitcase, but it was worth it.
I only have one food favourite (apart from eating pomegranates like crazy); Eggplant Pizzas. I found the recipe on Pinterest, but it's actually from a blog called Kalyn's Kitchen here.
I made this for myself when we were at my Grandma's, liked it so much that I made everyone try it and they all loved it as well. Even the manly men. It's safe to say I'll be making these pizzas more often in the future.

Another two items that came with me from London are these Minnie slippers and stripy pj bottoms. Both of them are from Primark.
The slippers are really warm and soft, so I love wearing them in the evenings when I get out of the shower.
And the pj bottoms are the softest, most comfortable pair of pants ever. They're really stretchy, but fit really nice and they're also tapered at the ankles which I really like. I definitely regret getting only one pair since I want to wear them all day long and every single day.
Sticking with the London theme, my favourite moment was of course visiting London again. You can see a few photos from my trip here & here. While I was there, I also met with Sandra and it was lovely to catch up with her.

I have another pair of pyjamas to talk about, this time a set from H&M.
I don't own a lot of cute pj's as most of them are just old T-shirts and sweatpants, but when I saw this set during a Summer sale, I had to have it. The bottoms look & feel like leggings and are  made out of quite thin material, but since the sweater top is so warm & cosy, it all works out like a great combo.
The sweater is also quite long, so it covers your bum. This is without a doubt my favourite set of pyjamas and I absolutely love the feel and look of it. All I want to do when I wear it is wrap myself into a warm blanket and watch TV shows or movies.
My current favourite ones are Arrow, The 100, The Mindy Project and How To Get Away With Murder (I actually watched all episodes in only one day, but we won't talk about that).
I also really enjoyed watching Manhattan Love Story until it got cancelled after only a few episodes.
As far as the movies are concerned, my favourites from the ones that I watched recently were Divergent, Lucy and Let's Be Cops.

I've also been burning a shit tone of candles and waxes. The one that stood out was / is Yankee Candle Cafe Au Lait. My friend bought this for me and I didn't think I would like it as much as I do. It smells quite sweet, a bit musky & manly, and with a hint of coffee.
I like to break these tarts apart so the scent is not so overpowering and this way they also last longer.

Now onto some more random favourites.
My favourite Youtubers have recently been Ben Brown, Will Darbyshire, CoffeeBreakWithDani, Amelia Liana and most of them all, Hannah Maggs.
I honestly don't know why she & her little family don't have more subscribers; they put so much effort in their vlogs, keep everything very real and relatable, make an effort to always do something and show us something new. And don't even get me started on the whole editing thing. I wish all youtubers edited their videos as good as Stefan does it. I also find them to be hilarious.
I also have quite a lot of favourite music to share with you. Through one of Hannah's vlog I found James Bay and I love his Let It Go EP.
I've also been enjoying listening to new albums from Taylor Swift and Maroon 5, although I don't like all the songs from either of these two albums.
Sam Smith and Yuna are another two artists I've been loving recently.

What are your recent random favourites? I would love to know.
