Empties 9

Friday, September 19, 2014

Hello ladies,
brace yourself this one is going to be a lengthy one.

I'm not sure why I waited so long to do another empties post and the result is what seems to be the longest empties post in the history. So I'll try my best and keep everything short and sweet.
I also finished a couple of shower gels, but since all of them were from limited collections that aren't available any more, I decided to not include them.

1. Batiste Blush dry shampoo: Of all the Batiste dry shampoos that I've tried so far, this was my least favourite one. It has a strong floral scent that for me is a bit overpowering and I got bored of it really quickly. I also find this one to be the most powdery and it left quite a white cast.
Would I repurchase? Not this version.

2. Alpecin Schuppen Killer Shampoo: A shampoo for dandruff that actually helped me and my sister get rid of it. It also smells like a really, really hot guy and feels very minty and refreshing on the scalp. Unfortunately I can't find it in my nearest Müller (I bought this one in Seiersberg).
Would I repurchase? Yes.

3. Alpecin Anti-Schuppen Shampoo: Before I tried the Killer one, I bought this one and I didn't find it to be as effective. It did help to calm down the scalp, but it didn't get rid of the dandruff.
Would I repurchase? Probably not.

4. Orofluido hair oil: This has lasted me a life time and it's the best hair oil I've tried; it doesn't make my hair greasy, doesn't weight it down, but helps to keep the ends healthy and keeps the frizz away.
Would I repurchase? Definitely.

5. Yves Rocher Cocoa & Raspberry perfumed body lotion: This unfortunately isn't available any more since it was a part of their Christmas collection, but luckily I still have one left. If you're interested in reading more about it, click here.
Would I repurchase? Yes, if it was still available.

6. Sun Dance LE Transparentes Sonnenspray mit tropicduft: I bought this sun screen to use before going to our pool and I did really like it. It had a nice, tropical/pineapple scent, and since it's a spray, it was really easy and quick to use. It did run out really fast though.
Would I repurchase? Maybe.

7. Aldo Vandini Spirit of India spicy sugar scrub: I already mentioned that Aldo Vandini's body scrubs are my favourite ones, and this one was no exception. It was quite harsh, which I liked and it smelled amazing.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

8. Cien Cocoa body butter: I still can't believe I found this gem in a grocery store (Lidl). I raved about it here.
Would I repurchase? Definitely, especially now in the colder months.

9. Mixa Soothing Toner: I was so glad when I finished this one, because I really didn't like it as it didn't do anything for my skin. More here.
Would I repurchase? Definitely not.

10. Yves Rocher Sebo Vegetal Purifying cleansing gel: This is targeted for combination to oily skin and I have to disagree; I would say that this would be great for those with really oily skin as it's quite striping. I do have combination/oily skin and I could only use it one-two times a week because it was too drying for me. But it was great for a period of time in Spring when my skin was really, really oily.
Would I repurchase? Only if my skin got really oily again.

11. Balm Balm Frankincense Light facial oil: Although I want to try more face oils, I really can't describe how much I love this one. It's amazing and it made my skin look so much better and less oily. In-depth review here.
Would I repurchase? Most definitely, yes!

11. GREEN LINE Natural Clear Cleansing cream + scrub + mask+ antibacterial effect: At first I was using this one as a face mask but since I already own way too many of those, I decided to use it as a scrub instead. It's definitely not something you would use every day, once or twice a week is more than enough. It has really tiny exfoliating bits, but it's quite harsh. I didn't noticed any good or bad differences on my skin.
Would I repurchase? Probably not.

12. Avon Glycerine hand&nail rich moisture hand cream: Great hand cream that checks all of the boxes; isn't sticky or greasy, sinks into the skin really quickly, doesn't leave any residue, yet is very moisturising.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

13. Avon Foot works green tea & mint exfoliating scrub: By now you all probably know that I always use Avon foot scrubs, they're really affordable but get the job done.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

14. Kamill Classic hand & nagelcreme: Oh, this was such a let down. I bought it for my handbag since it's so small, but it was so greasy & heavy and it didn't sink into the skin at all. I wanted to use it up anyway so I was just using it before going to bed. Also, it smells terrible.
Would I repurchase? Hell no!

15. Essence Studio nails Ultra strong nail hardener: A good base coat, it didn't help with  nail splitting or peeling, but it did make my nails grow extremely fast.
Would I repurchase? Probably.

16. Essence Studio nails Caring nail oil: My go-to product for my cuticles. It really does help your cuticles to look nice&moisturised and it also smells really nice.
Would I repurchase? Already did.

17. Misslyn Rich color gloss in Apricot Blush: This was the only lip gloss I used to use for years. It's non sticky, moisturising and gives a hint of colour. It's great for carrying around in your bag.
Would I repurchase? Not sure, because I found better ones.

18. Alverde Transparentes Augenbrauen und wimperngel: This is by far my favourite eyebrow gel. Although I really like the Catrice one at the moment, I still think this one is better. It keeps your brows in place all day, isn't too wet or gelly-like.
Would I repurchase? Absolutely!

19. Rimmel Stay Matte in Transparent: We all heard about this setting powder; it's cheap, keeps the shine away, doesn't add any colour and doesn't look powdery no matter how many times you re-apply it.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

20. Urban Decay Eyeshadow primer potion: Even though this is only a sample size, I had it for years. I have quite oily eyelids and just a tiny bit of this primer makes my eye-makeup last all day or night. I'll definitely get the full size once I run out of all the samples I have from Naked 3 & 2 palettes.
Would I repurchase? Without a doubt.

21. S-he Dip eyelliner in Black: Although I rarely use eyeliners, I really liked this one; it's black, dries to a semi-matte finish, quite long-lasting and easy to apply. It also lasted a really long time without drying up.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

22. Burt's Bees Nourishing Lip balm with Mango butter: This one looks absolutely battered but it's one of the best lip balms I've tried. It's very moisturising & nourishing and smells heavenly.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

23. Nivea Lip Butter Vanilla & Macadamia: As you know I had a love-hate relationship with this one. I featured it in my disappointing products but after I got over the first layer, it actually turned out to be quite a nice and moisturising lip balm.
Would I repurchase? Can't decide.

Last but not least are the products that aren't really empty, but it was time to throw them away.
24. Manhattan Perfect adapt make up in Rose beige: The pump on this foundation doesn't work any more and I don't like the consistency of it either; it's quite heavy and difficult to blend in. I used to use it for night outs, but ever since I found the L'oreal True Match I haven't touched it.
Would I repurchase? No.

25. Neutrogena Visibly clear Pink Grapefruit face cream: I did really like this one, but I had it for a really, really long time and it's time to say our goodbyes. It's a really nice, mattifying face cream and it didn't brake me out.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

26. Garnier Moisture Match 24h mattifying fresh cream: This one isn't bed either, but if I had to choose one, I would choose the one from Neutrogena. I don't really like the texture of this one and I also don't find it to be as mattifying than the Neutrogena one.
Would I repurchase? No.

27. S-he Compact powder in 003: I bought this powder a few Summers ago to match my tanned skin. It does help to keep the shine away, but since buying it, I found much better setting powders.
Would I repurchase? No.

28. L'oreal Roll' on True Match in Rose Vanilla: Another staple from a few years ago that I don't like any more. I talked about it here.
Would I repurchase? No.

29. Catrice Prime and fine smoothing refiner: I don't really know why I still have this because I hate it with a passion. It clogged my pores and made my foundation just slip off.
Would I repurchase? Never!

30. Avon Speed dry + nail enamel in Strawberry: Someone didn't closed this one up completely so it became all clumpy and dried up. I do quite like Avon nail polishes, since they're affordable, have a nice brush and colour selection.
Would I repurchase? No, because I already have similar shades.

31. Avon Luxe couture creme lip gloss in Flirty pink: I barely used this one because it lived in my handbag, but I think it has gone bad since it smells horrible. It's a lovely hot pink shade and it's actually quite pigmented for a lip gloss, but unfortunately it's quite sticky.
Would I repurchase? Nope.

32. E. L. F. Eyelid primer in Champagne: This is a great primer, but I hate it because of the shade. It has chunky glitters in it, and once you blend it onto your eyelids you're left with a ton of silver glitter that just looks horrible.
Would I repurchase? Maybe in a different shade.

33. Essence Makeup sponge: I could technically still use this one, but every time I try to clean it ,another part of it starts to fall apart. It did last me for more than a year, and I did use it regularly. Here's a first impression.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

Congrats to everyone who came to the end of this, I'm sending you an imaginary present of your choice.

What have you used up recently?

Naredi mi super mehke, gladke in sijoče lase. :) Pa še poceni je bil.
