today I'll be showing you what's in my current makeup bag. I only did one post like this way back in August when I was travelling to Paris, here. And I've been thinking of doing it for quite some time after that but never got around it.
I really enjoy reading posts like this because I'm very nosy, so hopefully you're the same as me and will enjoy taking a peek into my makeup bag.
As I mentioned, I started with my traineeship this week so this is the makeup I brought with me to Ljubljana. On the topic of traineeship, I'm absolutely loving it so far, already can't wait to start again tomorrow.
I am an over-packer, so I know this is quite a lot of makeup, but hey, this girl has to have some options. And to be fair, this is technically for two weeks because I'm not planning on bringing anything back home for the weekend.
Starting with the base, I decided to bring my beloved Bourjois 123 Perfect CC cream and CC eye cream. Since sometimes my skin tend to welcome me with a pimple or two, I also have the L'oreal True Match foundation for a better coverage (I actually mixed these two together on Monday and I really liked the finished look as well), and because the CC Eye cream won't cover the possible pimples and because I'm currently in love with the Maybelline FIT me! concealer, I also brought that one too.
I already had the Essence All about matt! powder here in Ljubljana, but I decided to bring this one from Alverde anyway so I can have it in my handbag.
I can't wear eyeshadows without a primer, so the Urban Decay Primer Potion is a must-have and because I'm running really low on it, I also threw in a backup of one of the samples.
You all know how much I love my neutrals, so the Naked Basics palette isn't a shocker. I also like it because I can use the Naked 2 shade for my brows. Since I knew I'll eventually want to wear some shimmers, I also packed the Manhattan Eyemazing Effect eyeshadow palette in Brownie Break. I got this on Saturday since I had a coupon for 50% off and I was completely blown away with the pigmentation. For those lazy days (like today) I have the Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeshadow paint. One swipe of this and a blending brush and I'm good to go.
Maybelline the Rocket mascara is self-explanatory as is the ARTDECO Eye brow pencil.
Recently, I've been really enjoying using the Essence duo eyepencil from their Bloom me up collection. I didn't want to include it in my favourites because it's not available any more, but the eyebrow lifter is seriously amazing. It highlights your brows, cleans them up and makes them look so put together. The side for you inner rim is also not bad.
I haven't included the eyebrow gel, because I already had it in Ljubljana.
And this is where I started to get a little bit carried away. I like to change up my blush on a regular basis so I brought a few of my current favourites with me. The Physicians Formula multi-colored blush in Blushing peach, all time favourite S-he powder blush in 001, the goes-with-everything Stay Pretty by M.A.C. and the natural looking defining duo blush Meet Nudy from LE Une, Deux, Trois from Catrice.
For my contour and highlight I have the Illamasqua Sculpting powder duo and also the E. L. F. Contouring Blush & Bronzing duo because I've been loving the more bronzed up look this month, and because all of the other blushes are matte.
I'm challenging myself to wear a different lipstick every day so here are the options; KIKO Smart lipstick in 911, Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Nude-ist, Revlon Lip butter in Lollipop, L'oreal L'Extraordinaire in Nude Vibrato, Chanel Rouge Coco shine in Saga, Manhattan soft mat lipcream in 56K, L'oreal Caresse lipstick in Mauve Cherie and the Catrice Pure shine color lip balm in Don't think just pink.
I also have the NYX Lipliner pencil in Nude pink because it goes with everything.
In case my nails start to chip and I need to touch them up, I also have the nail polish I'm currently wearing which is the Essie Demure vix, and to be completely honest even I don't know why I put the Essence Re-mix your style top coat in my makeup bag.
Hopefully you enjoyed taking a peek into my makeup bag and I'm planning on doing a similar post with only my everyday makeup, if you would like to see it of course. Let me know.
