Empties 7

Wednesday, March 26, 2014

Hello ladies, how are we all doing?
Yes, I have another empties post for you and I'm sure by now you all know how this goes; grab your drink of choice and make yourself comfortable, it's going to be a long one, once again.
I personally love when people include a bunch of empties in a post/video, but let me know if you would prefer shorter empties posts and I'll try to include less products in the future...

1. PHYTO Phytoapaisant Soothing treatment shampoo for sensitive and irritated scalp; I talked about this shampoo in my Best beauty buys of 2013 and this bottle lasted me & my sister for 8 months, which is amazing. I only use this whenever my scalp becomes itchy or I feel like a lot of products have build-up in my hair and this immediately calms everything down.
Would I repurchase? Most definitely, I actually need to get it asap.

2. Dove Nutritive Therapy Nourishing Oil Care shampoo: This is actually a match for the Oil Care express 1-minute treatment conditioner I always talk about, but I wasn't so impressed with this one. It smells amazing, as does the treatment conditioner, but combined with that one it was too moisturising for my hair. It weighted them down and made my hair look completely flat. I also didn't like it paired with other conditioners. The only good thing about it, besides the smell, is that it didn't irritated my scalp or gave me dandruff.
Would I repurchase? No.

3. L'Occitane Pivoine Flora Shower gel: I decided to use up a few of my shower gels that I've been saving for God knows what & this was one of them. I'm not a fan of flower scents, but this one was actually really lovely. It was a really nice shower gel, it left my skin feeling very refreshed and nourished, but I still don't think they're worth the price for everyday use.
Would I repurchase? This was actually a present and I wouldn't mind getting another one *winkyface*. I would buy it as a treat to myself also, but in different scent.

4. Victoria's Secret Vanilla lace Daily body wash: I was saving up this one too but there's nothing special about this one, apart from the fact that is from Victoria's Secret. It again smelled lovely, but I recently discovered that it smells very similar to the Yves Rocher Vanille range (which actually smells even better) and I have that one hidden in my stash as well.
Would I repurchase? Maybe in a different scent.

5. Yves Rocher Collection Cacao Cocoa& Raspberry perfumed shower gel: I get depressed whenever I finish this one. Unfortunately all three ladies in our house are loving this shower gel so we use it up pretty quickly. I was confessing my love to it here.
Would I repurchase? We all know the answer to this. Thank God I stocked up while it was still avaliable.

6. Listerine Total care clean mint mouthwash; I usually don't include mouthwash in my empties as we always use the same one (Listerine Stay white) and I don't like repeating myself, but this time my Mum bought this one as it was on 2for1 offer. I really, really didn't like it. It leaves this strange, almost sweet after-taste in your mouth that I really hate, and I also noticed that it doesn't make my teeth as white as the Stay white does.
Would I repurchase? No!

7. L'oreal Elnett de Luxe hairspray: Great hairspray that doesn't make my hair all crunchy and sticky but it holds the curls. I also like the smell of it.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

8. Bourjois Micellar Cleansing water: So far, the only drugstore micellar water that doesn't irritate my eyes. You can read about it in this post.
Would I repurchase? Maybe, but I prefer Bioderma or cleansing gels.

9. Afrodita Young & Pure Refresh - deep hydrating, anti-imperfections, refreshing toner: This one was actually already included in a few posts but I wanted to talk about it once again, because ever since I started using another toner I can see that this one made quite a difference in my skin; my blackheads were less visible, pores were smaller, I had hardly any breakouts even around that time of the month.
Would I repurchase? Definitely, but I think that they revamped this line so I'll be trying out a toner from this new line as soon as I finish my current one.

10. Ebelin acetone free nail polish remover: I'm not really picky when it comes to nail polish removers but I do always get an acetone free one. I buy this one very regularly as it's cheap and it gets the job done. I also really like the smell of it.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

11. Nivea Invisible for black&white antiperspirant: Ain't nothing invisible about this one. I mentioned it here but just wanted to let you know that it was disappointing until its last drop. Stay away from it.
Would I repurchase? Not even if it was the last deodorant on the planet.

12. Borotalco Invisible anti-white marks and yellow stains; From the worst one to the best one. This is seriously amazing, it does what it claims to do and has a nice, fresh scent that doesn't mix up with your perfume.
Would I repurchase? Already did.

13. Neutrogena Norwegian formula concentrated hand cream: This one was mentioned in the same post as the Nivea antiperspirant and all I will say is that I couldn't be happier that this is finally empty.
Would I repurchase? No.

14. Balea Aqua Serum: This one was also mentioned in my Best beauty buys of 2013 and as I said it's very light but at the same time very moisturising and it works great with my combination/oily skin. It also works great as a makeup base.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

15. Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB cream: Last June I reviewed both BB creams from Garnier and this one wasn't really working with my skin and I completely forgot about it. In the colder months I got a few dry patches so I've been using it on days when I just wanted to even-out my skin tone, but I'm still not a fan of it.
Would I repurchase? No.

16. Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB cream for combination/oily skin: This on the other hand, was my HG and I've been using it daily. When I picked up a new one, I noticed that they changed the packaging a little bit (the lid is smaller) but I'm almost positive they changed the formula as well, as it doesn't have as much coverage as this one did, it's also even more runny and doesn't blend in as nicely.
Would I repurchase? If they didn't change it, yes.

17. L'oreal False lash Telescopic mascara: An average mascara that gives you length and nicely separates your lashes. It also works great as a layering mascara.
Would I repurchase? Probably not as I found better ones.

18. Deborah Milano Lash Creator volume&care mascara: I featured this one in my February sparkles and it's a great one for all of you who search for a mascara that will give your lashes some volume.
Would I repurchase? Oddly, yes.

19. Blistex Lip relief cream: A great lip balm for chapped lips but it's not for wearing in public as it looks completely white on your lips. Unless completely white lips are a look you're going for.
Would I repurchase? Maybe.

Have you tried any of these products? Would you like me to include less empty products in the future? Let me know.

  3. The Yves Rocher shower gel sounds amazing! I don't know if I can get it here in the US though, and I don't think the brand is cruelty-free. I would love to have a chocolate raspberry scented body wash though.

    1. It truly is, it smells exactly the same as the dark chocolate with raspberries :) As far as being cruelty-free I also think they're not as I read somewhere that they actually were cruelty-free but then then decided to start selling their products in China, but I'm not sure...

  4. Amazing post! I loved reading it, I actually like the long empties posts! :)
I also like the Garnier BB cream for combination/oily skin more than the regular one, but the color is a bit too light for me so I don't use it a lot :( x

    1. Thanks for letting me know, will keep doing these long ones :)
Have you tried the other shade? Or maybe even mixing the two shades together? It's a shame they decided to change the formula...

  6. Obe verziji Garnier BB krem sta mi porazni.

    1. A res?

super objava, sem dobila kar nekaj idej, kaj moram 'nujno' kupit. :)
