Review: L'oreal Paris Skin Perfection Advanced Correcting Serum

Wednesday, December 04, 2013

Hello ladies, today I'm going to talk about one of the products that was supposed to be included in my November favourites, but it managed to get its own spotlight.

What they say: L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Advanced Correcting Serum. Enriched with LR2412, the advanced formula acts on 3 dimensions (pores, tone and texture) to help correct and improve visible skin quality, as if perfected. Picture-perfect skin from every angle. Apply morning and evening alone or before using your Skin Perfection Day Moisturiser (Source:

My opinion: As you can probably tell, I love it.
When I first got it, I mentioned that I though it was breaking me out, but since then I've discovered that it was the Olay night cream that was breaking me out, rather than this.
Are you wondering why I love it so much?
First, let me start with the cutest packaging ever. It looks so luxurious and it's bright pink, so it looks gorgeous on you vanity or wherever you decide to put it. It also comes with a great pump that gives out just the right amount of the product.
The serum has a specific scent that I can't really describe, but it's not overpowering and I actually quite like it.
I have been using it for about 2 months now, every night and morning before applying moisturiser or/and make up. I do however let it to really sink into my skin before I apply something on top.
Another great thing is, that is doesn't need long to sink into the skin, so even if you're running late, you can still apply this before doing the rest of your face.

I'm not sure if you'll be able to see, but the serum has a pearl shine to it. The shine isn't visible on your skin, so if you're skin is oily, you won't look like a disco ball. Actually, it claims to be oil free and I really haven't had any problems with this serum making my skin more oily throughout the day.
Comparing it to the Balea Aqua serum, the consistency of the L'oreal serum isn't as runny, but it also isn't extremely thick.
As they claim, the serum should help with pores, texture and tone of your skin, and I have to agree.
Even though, I don't have any major problems with my skin, I noticed quite a difference in overall look of my skin.
My skin feels a lot softer, the redness on my cheeks is almost completely gone, the pores do actually seem smaller and tighter, and the texture of my skin seems to look much more even.
This serum aslo works as a great base for your make up, since the foundation glides on so much smoothly and easily.
Since I haven't used any other face serums, I can only compare this to the Balea serum, and in my opinion, this works much better than the Balea one, since you can actually see how your skin changes for the better.
It is more expensive though, I think it's around 10-15€, but I think it's worth it, because as I said, I've been using it for 2 months and I only used up 1/3 of the bottle. If anyone is interested, you get 30 ml.

I'm really glad that I picked it up, and I agree with all the good reviews out there. My next purchase from this line, is definitely going to be the Skin Perfection Day Moisturiser.

Have you tried this?
