Shopping my stash #1

Friday, September 06, 2013

When I was doing my makeup today, I noticed that I don't even think about the products that I want to use, I just grab the same things over and over again. Currently these products are my UD Basics palette, Maybelline The Rocket mascara, L'oreal Touche Magique concealer, MAC Pinch me blush and one of the ''Chubby stick'' look alike lipsticks.
So I decided to go through all of my makeup and pick up a few products that I want to start using more often. I realised that I have quite a few of them, so I decided that I'm going to try and do these kind of posts quite regularly, because maybe that way I'll eventually start using different products and not stick to the same ones.

The first product that I chose was this Jenni Rivera for Bh cosmetics 36 color eyeshadow&blush palette.
I have to admit that because of the Basics and the Naked palette, I completely forget about all other palettes, even though I see them whenever I grab one of them.
But I really want to start using this one more often, because is has a wide variety of colours, the eyeshadows are very pigmented, as well as the blushes. It also has a few matte shades and I think this palette will be great for the Autumn months, as it has some very nice shades.

The next thing is the Alverde blusher that was part of their Ethno collection. I used to wear this non stop and it looks so beautiful on. It's also great because you can mix all the colours together or choose the one you would like to wear. The top shade is also great for highlighting.
And when we're already on the topic of highlighters, I want to start using this one from Essence's Fantasia collection. Just looking at it makes me happy. It's so pretty and even though I have combination/oily skin, I think it looks amazing on my cheeks.
I also completely neglected the Phloof eyeshadow from MAC. I also used to wear this religiously, to highlight the inner corner of my eye and I don't know why I stopped using it.

Ah, my beloved Rimmel Apocalips in Apocaliptic and Essence's Mission flower lipcream. If you saw me wearing makeup a few months back, I can guarantee you, I had one of these two on my lips. But then I discovered Maybelline Vivid's and the Chubby stick look alike's and  I was hooked.
But I promise that these two will get some love in the near future.
And last but not least is the Bourjois Healthy mix correcting concealer. I actually know why I stopped using this one; the packaging get extremely annoying when there is not much product left. It's so hard to actually get something out of that tube and when you finally manage to do it, you're stuck with this concealer flood. It's not even funny how much product comes out, but I'm determined to finish it.

So these were the first products that need some more love and attention. Hopefully, I'll be able to stop myself before I go and grab my usual products.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend.
