Nail care routine

Tuesday, June 04, 2013

Hello everyone, how are we all doing?
Today, I'm going to show you my nail care routine. It's nothing special really, but I'll show you anyway.

First, here's a picture of my nails without any polish.

The first thing I always do, is take off my nail polish (well, dooh, what else would you do) .
I'm currently using the Essence one that is supposed to help with hardening your nails and it smells like strawberry and passion fruit. I quite like it actually.
If I'm wearing any nail varnish that has glitters in it or just a glittery top coat, I'll use the Essence studio quality Nail art ultra nail polish remover. I find it to be great for removing glitters and any other polish that is a pain in the ass to remove.

Then it's time to shape my nails. I'm currently loving shorter nails, so I'll use nail clippers or scissors to shorten them.
I'm not picky when it comes to nail files, I just use the one I currently have, which is the one from Konad that I got as a gift with purchase.

I don't really have very dry cuticles and I don't need to remove it, so every other week I'll use the Essence Studio nails Caring nail oil. But I use a hand cream every night before I go to bed. Currently I'm using the Balea hand and nail chamomile cream that I found in one of my handbags. I don't really like it, and I hate the smell, but I want to use it up.
The best hand cream that I ever used, is the Avon Planet Spa dead sea minerals hand cream. I always use this one if my hands are extremely dry or damaged.

So this is my nail care routine. If you done something similar, leave a link down in the comments and I'll gladly check it out.
