My everyday makeup

Monday, April 15, 2013

I think it's about time that I show you something different than random post. So for today's post, I'll show you my everyday makeup. I keep it pretty simple and easy, and the only things that really change from day to day are the colour of blush, lipstick and the brand of mascara. Other than that, this is my everyday makeup routine.

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit oil-free moisturiser,
Garnier BB cream for combination/oily skin in Light/clair

Ever since I bought this moisturiser, I've been using it. I really like it and I think that my foundation or BB cream looks better if I moisturise fist.
By now all of you now that I love the Garnier BB cream for combination/oily skin, and it's my holy grail when it comes to my everyday makeup. I don't want to have a full on, heavy foundation on my face for a whole day, so BB creams are perfect for me.

Ecotools Bamboo bronzer brush, Real Techniques blush brush, Oriflame Blending brush,
Essence 50's girls reloaded eyeshadow brush, ELF professional shadow brush,
UBU no.31 Drama Queen eye defining brush

I apply the BB cream with my fingers, and with Ecotools bronzer brush I set it with powder. I don't contour my face on a daily basis, so I just use the RT blush brush for my blusher. I fill in my eyebrows with the UBU brush, the Essence one is for highlighting my inner corner and if I apply some bright eye shadow all over my lids. I apply the darker shadows with an ELF brush and blend all together with Oriflame blending brush.

S-he compact powder in 002, Rimmel Lasting finish soft colour blush in Pink rose,
Bourjois Healthy mix concealer in 51 light radience, MUA cover&conceal in Fair

ELF Elements eyeshadows in Pink Ice, Wheat, Driftwood and Moondust,
Avon True colour eyeshadows in Mocha latte, Essence eyeshadow in Blockbuster

I alternate between these two palettes, because I love the colours and beause I have them in Ljubljana (most of the time I'm too lazy to bring a new palette with me every week). I use the upper-right colour from Avon palette to fill in my brows, the lighter colours for the inner coner of my eyes and I usually mix the other colours for defining my crease.

Maybelline Rocket mascara in Blackest black, UD Eyeshadow Primer potion,
Essence Eyebrow designer in Blonde, Alverde clear eyebrow gel.

The finish look:
I forgot to take a picture of the lipstick I'm wearing; it's Rimmel Apocalips lip laquer in Celestial.

I'm thinking of blogging every day this week. I'm not making any promises, but we'll see how it turns out. And as always, if you have any requests, let me know it the comments below.

  5. Love this post. What sort of coverage does the garnier BB cream give? I really want to try but my skin is oily and I like quite a bit of coverage. Following you :-)

    1. Thank you.
As for the coverage, I would say medium. It's going to hide some imperfections, like redness and it will even out your skin tone. But you won't get a full coverage, even if you build it up. As for the oily skin goes, this is the one to try :) I hope that I helped you in a way and if you have any more questions, just let me know
