February favourites

Friday, March 01, 2013

I can't believe that March is already here. I can already smell the Spring, especially because of the sunny weather today. February flew away so fast and here I am trying to write about my favourites from the past month. I don't have that many to show you and I feel quite lazy today so I better start before I become too lazy to finish this post.

L to R: Avon care glycerine hand & nail cream and Zoya nail polish in Tao

February was quite a cold month and my hands paid the price. I don't remember having so dry hand that I had them last month. They're getting better now and all because of this cream. It's everything that I search in hand cream; moisturising, with nice smell, absorbs quickly, doesn't leave your hands all greasy.
Even though I got the nail polish just recently, I love it. I can't wait to get more Zoya polishes. They have great formula, they last so long, I changed the colour because I got bored and not because of the chipped polish. And I love the colour for cold months.

L to R: Demack up duo + cotton pads, Garnier Pure SOS pen,
Aldo Vandini Luffa Facial Scrub pads

Now I know that including cotton pads in favourites is a little bit strange, but these are amazing. I was in the Müller and picked up some random cotton pads since I ran out of the one that I usually get. When I opened them I saw that they aren't just some random pads, but on one side they're striped and perfect for exfoliating. They're also great for removing your nail polish.
I changed up my skin care recently and my skin is getting used to is, so I had a few brake outs. The Garnier SOS pen is my go to product for pimples for a few years now.
Going with the skin care update, I also found this Facial scrub pads and I can't even put into word how much I love them. I'm going to do a review on them, so look out for that.

T to B:  Deborah Milano Color Parade set, L'oreal Roll' on true match foundation in Rose Vanilla
Maybelline Rocket mascara, E.L.F. Stipple brush

Make up set from Deborah was a part of their Holiday gift sets and it comes with  6 eyeshadows, 3 glosses, 1 bronzer, 1 blush, 1 powder. I don't really use the eyeshadows and the glosses, but I love the ''face'' products. Especially the setting powder is amazing and I've been wearing it almost every day. I just wish the eyeshadows were more natural-browny shades and it would be my to go palette for travelling.
The L'oreal foundation was feeling very neglected and do to my break outs, it got the spotlight this month. I really like the fact that it's full coverage but it's doesn't feel heavy or cakey on the face. I'm not sure though if it's still avaliable because they were talking about discontinuing it.
Ever since I got the mascara I've been wearing it. I liked it better than the YSL Shocking mascara and I loved that one, so that's gotta say something, right?
I don't know how to use a stippling brush for applying foundations, it just doesn't work with me, so this E.L.F. brush was just lying there until I saw on Shannon's    youtube channel that she used one for blusher. And it really works great. So I've been using it to apply and blend out my blush and I like it.

L to R: E.L.F. matte lip color in Coral, Blistex lip relief cream and
L'oreal Glam Shine lip gloss in Juicy Rose glow

I was rocking the nude lips this month and one of my go to combinations is E.L.F. matte lip color in Coral with L'oreal Glam Shine gloss. I find the E.L.F. lipstick to be a little bit drying, but with some gloss on top, they're great
This lip gloss was one of my first make up items that I owned, and I don't remember how many times I repurchased it. I really like the colour, the formula and the shine it give.
February was also the month of chapped lips and without a doubt the award for most used product, goes to Blistex. I only wish that it wasn't so white and left this white residue on your lips, but it works great and I only use it at home, so it doesn't really matter.
